Printing theses at Wageningen University & Research

As of July 1 2015, Digiforce and Wageningen University & Research (WUR) are working together in the field of designing and printing (WUR) PhD theses. The actual service is rendered by Proefschriftmaken.nl that has almost  10 years of experience in the designing and printing of PhD theses.

When the printing costs are paid directly by the chair group of the PhD candidate, the chair group must use the services offered by Digiforce. Of course all other PhD candidates are also welcome to use Digiforce’s services.

The PhD candidate requests a quote for the printing of the thesis. Of course, all secondary products (e.g., cover design, ePub of your thesis) can also be provided by Digiforce. Requesting a quotation this way guarantees low printing costs.

What does Digiforce offer? 

Digiforce and Proefschriftmaken have compiled two packages:

Package Print

Here Digiforce and ProefschriftMaken guides the printing process. The files are provided by the PhD candidate in printing format and error-free. ProefschriftMaken will check the files and send the PhD candidate a full report and after the adjustments are made a order for a testbook can be requested. After approval of the testbook by the PhD candidate, the thesis is printed in the full amount and delivered to the chair group of Wageningen University & Research within eight working days. When the printing costs are paid directly by the chair group of the PhD candidate, the invoice for the order can be sent directly to the secretariat of the chair group.

Package Print Plus

This is an extension of package Print. In this package, ProefschriftMaken offers a more comprehensive file inspection and provides tips and possible suggestions for improvement of the end product. As part of this package, the PhD candidate will also receive a physical preprint of the thesis as a real book by mail. This allows the candidate to better assess whether everything looks and feels as he/she had intended it to do. After approval by the candidate, the thesis is printed and delivered to the chair group of Wageningen University & Research within three working days after approval of the physical preprint. If desired, the invoice for the order can be sent directly to the secretariat of the chair. As an additional service ProefschriftMaken can even provide the lay-out of the inside pages, the cover and invitation. Production of an hardcover book or eBook, ePub or app are also options that can be chosen. Every additional service comes with an standard fee. Ask Erwin if you want to know more about this services.
